Welcome to Camp Round-UP!

June 15 - 19, 2008

What is Camp Round-UP?

Camp Round-UP is an opportunity for youth ages 13-18 to join in a fun and enriching learning environment immersed in agriculture. All backgrounds of youth are invited to explore the many faces of agriculture. In addition to Food-Animal and Equine Sciences learning modules, Camp Round-UP has now added Soil and Crop Sciences, Horticulture and Landscape Architecture, Bioagricultural Sciences and Pest Management, Agricultural and Resource Economics and Veterinary Medicine to the 2008 program. Students will participate in hands-on science and math-based activities, tour and utilize state-of-the-art facilities, and enjoy presentations by Colorado State University's distinguished faculty and graduate students. Lessons incorporate science, math and agricultural issues, while developing teamwork and friendship with fellow campers through a common interest in the agricultural industry. Learning Modules Students will have the opportunity to select from a wide variety of learning modules: Animal Science Based Modules: Meat Science, Beef, Poultry, Dairy, Sheep, Swine, Equine, Animal Nutrition New Additions for 2008: Veterinary Medecine (tentative), Agricultural and Resource Economics, Bioagricultural Sciences and Pest Management, Horticulture and Landscape Architecture, and Soil and Crop Sciences.

Registration

Campers may register for Camp Round-UP one of three ways:

1. ONLINE registration, click here.

2. Fill out the Registration Form (Word doc) and mail it with payment back to: Camp Round-UP, Colorado State University, Conference Services, Fort Collins, CO 80523-8037.

3. Register by telephone by calling CSU Conference Services at (970) 491-7501.

Cost to Attend Register early! Space is limited! Early bird registration: $425 by May 9 Regular registration: $475 by May 23 Cost Includes: ~ 5 days, 4 nights on CSU's campus, all meals provided ~ Camp souvenirs and memorabilia ~ Transportation and off-campus tour costs ~ Course curriculum fees Fees for missed meals, late arrivals, and early departures will not be refunded. Cancellations or changes resulting in a refund must be received by May 23, 2008 and are subject to a $50 administrative fee. After May 23, registration fees are non-refundable. Refunds will be processed after the camp. No refunds will be made for no-shows. Substitutions are permitted. A returned check fee of $17 will be assessed for all returned checks.
